WaveSplitter Technologies Announces New VP of Engineering
Kevin Sullivan promoted from Director of Operations
NFOEC, Denver, CO, Monday, August 28, 2000 - WaveSplitter
Technologies, Inc, a worldwide supplier of fiber optic components
for optical amplifier and DWDM systems, today announced it has promoted
Kevin Sullivan to Vice President of Engineering. Dr. Sullivan previously
served as director of operations at WaveSplitter and was at Lucent
prior to joining WaveSplitter.
"Kevin has demonstrated excellent leadership ability in his
role as director of operations at WaveSplitter," said Bill
Diamond, President and CEO of WaveSplitter. "He will play a
pivotal role in our new product development, especially in the area
of planar waveguide technology, an area he worked on while at Lucent.
With his broad experience and education in fiber optics, Sullivan
is a powerful addition to the executive staff."
In his new role as Vice President of Engineering, Kevin Sullivan
will have end-to-end responsibility for new product realization
including core technology development, reliability testing, and
qualification, and will manage WaveSplitter's design and prototyping
center in Atlanta, GA.
Sullivan joined WaveSplitter from Lucent Technologies where he
was a Team Leader for their Network Products Group. During his tenure
at Lucent he focused on the manufacturing process development and
product reliability for planar waveguide based devices. Sullivan
received his Ph.D in optics from the University of Rochester.
