Higher power amplifiers are needed to address the requirements of
higher channel count, higher bit rate or longer distance DWDM systems.
Pump laser combiners are used to increase the optical power
amplification by combining multiple pump lasers. This can be done by
combining multiple pump wavelengths or orthogonal polarizations.
WaveSplitter offers both combiner types to cover the needs of EDFA and
Raman amplifiers, and these can even be
integrated together in modules to address the highest power amplifier
needs.
